Celtic have announced plans to stream the iconic club anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ on the club’s social media platforms on Friday morning.
The news was announced earlier on Thursday on the club’s official website.
The website went onto disclose that the anthem will be played on radio stations in Europe at 7:45 am in solidarity with the victims of the ongoing pandemic.
Celtic plan to do their part by playing on the song from Celtic Park, whilst streaming the anthem on the club’s Twitter, Facebook, etc.
No fans are to attend event
Naturally, the club website advises people not to come to Celtic Park on Friday morning, which is the sensible thing to do.

It will no doubt be an emotional occasion, as Europe bands together to get behind an anthem which means so much to the Celtic support.
Usually the song is sung as the prelude to a momentous Celtic game, such as a Champions League tie. Sadly that won’t be the case on Friday. Hopefully the impact of the song will carry some meaning for those out there.
Song could bring comfort to some
In the uncertainty facing everyone at the moment, it will perhaps bring comfort to some to hear the Celtic anthem. Hopefully sooner than later that anthem will once again ring out at a full Celtic Park.

The first game back at Celtic Park should be a noisy, enjoyable occasion for the club’s supporters. ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ should be part of that.
