If Celtic are still keen to sign George Baldock this summer then they could use Scott Sinclair as a makeweight in the deal.
The trail seemed to have gone quiet on the Sheffield United right-back in recent weeks but a recent report from the Sun has credited the Hoops with a renewed interest. The paper says that Celtic are still in for the 26-year-old who is rated at around the £1.5million mark.

Neil Lennon’s side are said to face competition from Stoke City who are also after a right-back this summer.
If Celtic have their heart set on Baldock then they could offer Sinclair as part of a deal. The English winger was reported to be a target for the Blades earlier this summer with a £2million fee muted for his services.

It’s a small price to pay if Celtic want Baldock
The fact that the players’ valuations are so similar means that a swap deal could surely be in the offing.
Celtic are keen to get a right-back in as soon as possible with big games on the horizon following the Sarajevo tie. Meanwhile, Sinclair doesn’t look to have too bright a future at the club.
The 30-year-old may have recently signed a new one-year contract extension, but that seemed more like the club safeguarding themselves against the possibility of him leaving for nothing.

Sinclair is yet to score in a competitive match under Neil Lennon and may look at this summer as the right time to move back down the road. Given the emergence of Mikey Johnston, the club may not be too bothered if he moves on either.
If we could use him as part of a deal to bring in Baldock then that would surely be beneficial for all parties.
