Leicester City’s interest in Tom Rogic isn’t too surprising.
The Aussie was one of Brendan Rodgers’ top performers during his two-and-a-half years or so in Glasgow. He helped kick Rogic on to a new level, and he signed a new long-term deal with Celtic last summer because of it.
Celtic have reportedly slapped a £15million price tag on him too. The Hoops don’t need to sell, regardless of which Premier League side is interested in the Wizard of Oz.

But, in all honesty, even if Leicester do offer £15m, Celtic should tell them where to go. Aiding Brendan Rodgers after the number he pulled on all of us shouldn’t even be thought about by the Parkhead board.
The inevitable attempted raid of Celtic this summer by Rodgers will surely occur. The likes of Rogic and Callum McGregor, to name a couple, performed absolute wonders for the Northern Irishman. He’s surely bound to be interested in at least one or two.
Celtic don’t need the money, however. It’s more imperative that we keep all of our key players for the Champions League qualifiers in July. If we do that and end up qualifying, it will more than make up for not selling Rogic.
Disdain remains at an all-time high
But the disdain Celtic fans have for Rodgers is at an unprecedented level. He simply isn’t liked, even if he keeps trying to reinforce his love for the Hoops at every opportunity.

Selling any of our top stars to the Foxes wouldn’t likely be met with much approval. The way Leicester swooped in and nabbed Rodgers at such a key point in our season continues to be a sore one to take.
Call it pettiness, call it immature, but Celtic have to stand up for themselves and let Rodgers know how angry the supporters are, by not allowing him to nab key players this summer.
Interestingly, key figures at Celtic have never shown much anger towards Rodgers. The likes of Scott Brown and Neil Lennon have both tried to praise him over the last week alone.

But strengthening Leicester at the expense of the Hoops wouldn’t be accepted too well amongst the Celts support, particularly given the ill-feeling still in the air regarding Rodgers’ departure.
Celtic have an obligation to stand up for the fans here. Tell Rodgers and Leicester where to go this summer, they nearly done enough damage to us as it is.
