Celtic’s Supporter Liason Officer has clarified on social media how many days the players had off last week.
This has come in response to Boli Bolingoli’s trip to Spain in recent days, with the Scottish Sun revealing last night that he had failed to quarantine on arrival.

It has also opened up the question of why Celtic’s players were allowed time off days before a crunch clash at Rugby Park. With Boli taking a trip abroad, it seemed ludicrous that he would have the time to do so over the course of the week whilst being prepared enough upon his return to play against Killie.
However, Celtic’s SLO has stated that the players were only off on the Monday and Tuesday as he was queried by a fan on social media:
Timeframe isn’t an eye-opener
With the holiday schedule being confirmed by an official club representative, this isn’t too much of an eye-opener. Sure, you can question whether players needed two days off after a routine home win against Hamilton, but you could let it slide.
What it means is that Bolingoli would’ve returned and had several days of training in the build-up to the game in Ayrshire. That means more time spent with his team-mates after failing to quarantine.
So far, there have been no positive tests to have come out of the club. That suggests that Boli’s actions may not end up resulting in disastrous consequences in terms of health and safety. However, he can expect a hammering from the club.

Celtic have this morning released an official statement slamming the player for his actions. The club has also ensured that all players were tested twice last week, including Bolingoli.
It’s an incredibly frustrating saga for the Celtic supporters and one which keeps developing as the day goes on.
