Celtic supporter liaison officer John Paul Taylor has provided fans with an update over last campaign’s season ticket promise of supporters attending a live training session.
After sticking by the club and continuing to sell out season tickets despite the uncertainty surrounding if fans would be getting to games in the 2020/21 season, supporters were rewarded with a number of incentives when renewing last season.
Those included a £50 voucher for the club shop and access to pre-season friendlies last year against the likes of West Ham and Preston North End.
One of the further promises for renewing your season ticket last year included an afternoon where Celtic supporters would be able to attend a live training session with Ange and his players.
We have seen many of these take place over the years, but so far, the club are yet to deliver on this promise from last year’s season ticket campaign.
However, the Celtic SLO provided a short update, which could hint toward the event taking place soon, as John Paul Taylor stated, “details announced shortly”.
Despite not getting the opportunity for this event to take place last season, it probably made sense for all involved.
Not only was it an extremely busy campaign for Ange Postecoglou and his squad, but at certain points, there was also potential for a heightened covid risk, which could have impacted the Hoops title charge.
Pre-season feels like the best opportunity to get a live training session put on for supporters who would like to attend and see Ange get to work with the players ahead of next season.
Hopefully, we should hear more in the coming days or weeks ahead.
