Celtic stars have been reacting to their pivotal victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie that has extended their lead at the Scottish Premiership summit to seven points.
Travelling to the North East last night was billed by many as the Bhoys’ most difficult domestic test of the season so far, and it is fair to say they had to work for what has gone down as a statement triumph.
Jimmy Thelin’s side were able to frustrate for long periods. Still, Reo Hatate’s moment of decisive quality was worth waiting for on 78 minutes.

Weathering the rest of proceedings, Celtic claimed a valuable win over Aberdeen and have subsequently moved further ahead in their quest for a fourth successive Scottish Premiership title.
After events at Pittodrie, some of the Bhoys’ key stars on the night have delivered their reaction to a statement result.
Kasper Schmeichel and Auston Trusty react to Pittodrie victory
Taking to Instagram, veteran Celtic stopper Kasper Schmeichel sent a classy message after keeping a clean sheet in the Bhoys’ 1-0 victory over Aberdeen.
Accompanying a selection of pictures from the match, he wrote: “Big 3 points in really challenging conditions. Incredible support as always.”
Although he never had much to do between the sticks, Schmeichel’s calmness and ability to come and collect played a crucial role in seeing Celtic over the line.
On the same token, Auston Trusty has shared his verdict after contributing to another shutout beside defensive partner Cameron Carter-Vickers, paying tribute to the away support.
He stated: “+3 points. Thank you to all the traveling supporters sticking through those crazy conditions outside! HH.”
Composed on the ball and strong in the tackle, the American yet again proved why Celtic paid £6 million for his services in the summer transfer window with another solid display.
Greg Taylor reacts after role in Celtic winning goal vs Aberdeen
Greg Taylor enjoyed a productive night at Pittodrie and was responsible for laying on Hatate’s winning goal to grant Celtic a deserved three points away to Aberdeen.
Reacting on the same social media platform, the 27-year-old posted a message which read: “Tough night. Big 3 points.”
Questions over Taylor’s Celtic contract situation continue to linger as he approaches the final months of his current deal.
On last night’s evidence, it may be worth the Bhoys sorting out his future sooner rather than later to get him tied up on fresh terms.
