Celtic ran out comprehensive 3-0 winners against Motherwell yesterday to climb back to the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Brendan Rodgers’ men knew they had a question to answer after Aberdeen rose to the summit on Saturday evening with a win over Dundee United, and it is fair to say they duly delivered.

Putting on a show of strength, Celtic disposed of Motherwell with relative ease after goals from Luke McCowan, Alistair Johnston and Adam Idah claimed three points at Fir Park.

With the Bhoys now on an unbeaten run over their last 11 domestic fixtures, there is plenty to be optimistic about as the campaign continues to take shape.

The Celtic squad can be proud of their start so far, so let’s see how they are feeling after another commendable Scottish Premiership victory.

Adam Idah and Alistair Johnston react after goals vs Motherwell

Starting off with two of the goalscorers, Celtic duo Johnston and Idah have offered their reaction to events at Fir Park.

Offering a simple response to his header to double the visitors’ advantage, Johnston posted a selection of photos from their affair with the caption ‘Honoured’ after captaining the side to a routine victory in Callum McGregor’s absence.

In the comments, Greg Taylor replied by saying ‘Suits you brother’ after the Canadian right-back took the armband for the day. Meanwhile, Joe Hart, Alex Valle and Republic of Ireland international Idah also chimed in to show their appreciation for the stand-in skipper.

Leading on nicely, Idah took to the social media outlet to reflect on a positive few days that he capped by putting the icing on the cake as Celtic swept Motherwell aside, taking his tally to five for this term.

His captain read ‘A good week! +3 away from home’ in a week where he led the line in the Bhoys’ draw against Atalanta before coming off the bench in Lanarkshire to make a goalscoring impression.

Hopefully, Idah is feeling okay after taking a knock late on amid Liam Gordon’s reckless challenge that resulted in a red card for the Motherwell defender.

Kasper Schmeichel and Paulo Bernardo take to Instagram

Keeping his seventh clean sheet of the season, Kasper Schmeichel celebrated the continuation of his positive form by taking to Instagram after Celtic’s triumph at Motherwell.

The veteran Dane posted a muscle emoji and a green heart and has made an excellent start to life between the sticks, mixing expert handling with adventurous distribution.

Finally, Paulo Bernardo offered his reaction on the social media platform after starring in an unfamiliar holding role after McGregor was rested due to a slight abductor problem.

Delighted with his side’s exploits, he said ‘Back on the league with a good victory’ after playing his part in the engine room.

Growing into the game after a taking a little bit of time to adjust to his new duties, Bernardo has shown he can feature deeper when called upon, though you get the impression he would prefer to play further up if given the choice.
