Celtic players such as Callum McGregor and David Turnbull are set to enter a playoff process to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
Scotland’s 2-0 win away to Moldova tonight confirms their spot in the draw for March matches that will see teams qualify for the finals in Qatar next year.
Steve Clarke’s side will play a one-leg semi-final and final, with the draw set to be made in two weeks time from Zurich, Switzerland.

Scotland find themselves in a seeded position, currently, for that draw but there are still matches that can change that over the next few days.
McGregor and Turnbull are both consistently selected by the Scotland manager and are almost certain to be used for the playoffs, but they might not be the only Hoops stars who make it.
Greg Taylor and Anthony Ralston could both have opportunities if they play well over the coming months, while James Forrest is a veteran of the national team who may be included if he recovers from injury positively.
It’s the first time Scotland have finished second in one of these qualifying groups since the build-up to Euro 2000, again demonstrating the progress being made under Clarke.
The squad is full of current and former Celtic talents, so even if you’re not from these shores it’s nice to see them perform on the big stage and make a push towards another major tournament.
All eyes will be on that draw at the end of the month!
In other news, John Hartson is excited about the “almost forgotten” Celtic player set to be used by Ange.
