Celtic striker Albian Ajeti is backing Italy to beat England in the Euro 2020 final this Sunday.
The Hoops star took part in a Q+A session on the club’s Instagram account, tackling various subjects, including the final, his fitness and settling in Glasgow.
On this weekend’s big game at Wembley, he said: “My prediction for the final of the Euros is Italy. They’ve had a really good tournament, and I think they will win it.”
This is a huge season for Ajeti. Indeed it could be a make or break one for him at Celtic.
Fans, so far, have been impressed with the little they’ve seen. He’s looking fit and in shape ahead of the new campaign. He also got on the scoresheet in the opening pre-season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday.
Settling at the Bhoys can’t have been easy for him last term in the midst of a pandemic. This could well be his breakout year as restrictions subside.
On the work he’s done since the season ended and settling in Glasgow, the Swiss forward said: “I’ve been working very hard over the holidays. Just to get the best out of myself. I’ve been training a lot in the gym. It was a lot of running, but now we keep going in the pre-season.
“It’s been quite difficult [to settle in Glasgow] with Covid, but I hope sooner or later I will see more of Glasgow. I think it’s a very beautiful city, so hopefully, things get better when everything opens up soon.”
Hopes will be high that a fit and happy Ajeti can score a barrel load of goals this season.

However, that kind of consistency has yet to be proven. He has a lot to do to fully ingratiate himself with the Celtic support, in my opinion.
Still, with everyone getting a fresh start under Ange Postecoglou, hopefully, we can see more from the former West Ham man.
In other news, Celtic must stick up for supporters if FC Midtjylland crowd numbers also fall short.
