Celtic should look towards Marseille to swap Olivier Ntcham for Clinton N’jie.

The Hoops failed in their attempt to swap the midfielder for Bournemouths’s Lys Moussett.

However, if the club are still looking for a similar deal then Marseille would be a better club to speak to.

They are reportedly interested in the French under-21 international and coud be more open to a swap.

Last season, the Cameroon international knocked in three goals and two assists in 17 league appearances.

There’s clearly a talent in there as he has Lyon and Spurs as his previous clubs.

N’Jie offers a different aspect to the likes of Odsonne Edouard or even Leigh Griffiths.

The 25-year-old is more of a centre-forward and can play on the wing.

Celtic are the type of club a player such as N’Jie will thrive under being the centre of attention.

Due to his many uses, he will be a Celtic manager’s dream due to the way teams set up against them.

This is an ambitious move but one that The Bhoys are well capable of getting over the line.

Marseille perfect club to deal with

It’s no secret that Marseille are following Ntcham in order to bring him back home.

The quoted fee of 13-16 million euros may put clubs off, but a swap or player plus cash could bring the likes of N’Jie to Glasgow.

However, the French side could have competition from Porto who are also long term admirers.

Nevertheless, adding N’Jie into a deal helps all parties.

Celtic get a player and some money while Marseille earn a player and get another off the wage list.

Some Hoops fans would rather this happened as they’d doubt whether the money would be re-invested in another player.
