Neil Lennon has confirmed his Celtic team to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership this evening, per the official club Twitter account.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI: Bain, Taylor, Welsh, Ajer, Kenny, Soro, McGregor, Christie, Turnbull, Ajeti, Edouard
Substitutes: Barkas, Duffy, Brown, Griffiths, Klimala, Rogic, Elyounoussi, Ralston, Laxalt
Celtic come into tonight’s match feeling pretty good about themselves thanks to their recent form. Sunday’s 2-1 win at St Johnstone secured our fourth consecutive victory, with the Hoops looking to bring some pride back to a dismal campaign.
A fifth win-on-the-spin would continue to lift some of the pressure on Neil Lennon. However, regardless of the scoreline tonight, the fans understand that our need for change at the football club remains more important than any run of wins.
Regardless, the main talking point from today’s starting XI is two brilliant decisions from the manager. Ismaila Soro comes back into the team in place of Scott Brown, whilst Stephen Welsh replaces Shane Duffy.
Elsewhere, Albian Ajeti comes back in to the side to partner Odsonne Edouard.
Aberdeen come into this one in dreadful form. They’ve only managed two wins in their last 11 matches, and haven’t scored in any of their last five games. Failure to score again tonight would mark an unwanted new club record for them.
They’ll view tonight’s clash at Celtic Park as the ideal chance to prove a point to their supporters and perhaps themselves. Taking Celtic’s scalp on their own turf is always a big achievement for any Scottish side, regardless of where our form is at. Hopefully, the Bhoys can pull together and see the Dons off.

Fan reaction to Celtic team v Aberdeen
The fans are undoubtedly delighted to see both Soro and Welsh back into the side. There was certainly a level of fear that Lennon would stick by Brown and Duffy. His decision not to do that is massive for our chances this evening.
It’s fair to say that, because of these decisions, supporters are as pleased as they could possibly be regarding tonight’s side. The return to a two-striker system is also promising for many.
Hopefully, we can all agree that there should be enough in that starting XI to take another three points tonight.
