Celtic will have a hearing tomorrow in order to determine how many suppporters will be allowed to return to Parkhead for the friendly against West Ham United.

The Hoops will take on David Moyes’ men in our final pre-season warm-up match. However, there has yet to be any confirmation of how many supporters will be able to attend.

Celtic welcomed 2,000 fans to Parkhead in Saturday’s friendly defeat to Preston North End. Tonight, they’ll host 9,000 in Glasgow when Midtjylland arrive for our UCL second qualifying round clash [Daily Record].

And, as he responded to queries from supporters regarding the friendly against the Hammers, Celtic’s SLO confirmed that the club will hear a final verdict tomorrow:

Celtic Park set to take another step towards normality for West Ham United match

It’s been great getting some fans in the door for the Preston match as well as tonight’s Midtjylland encounter. However, it won’t feel the same until Parkhead is allowed to be packed to the rafters once again.

In that sense, tomorrow is another important step. The Hoops will be looking for yet another step up from the 9,000 that will attend tonight.

Rangers will also take part in a friendly against Brighton on the same day that will see 8,500 supporters allowed in. However, their game against Real Madrid will see 12750 allowed into Ibrox.

Therefore, you would hope that Celtic would be allowed a similar amount to what Rangers are getting on Sunday. Especially with us having gotten more vaccination completed in the coming days.

In any case, it will surely be a sizable upgrade on the 2,000 that visited for the Preston match. Any step back to normality at this rate will be a welcome one.
