Brendan Rodgers to feature in new James Forrest book
Brendan Rodgers will feature in a new Celtic book telling the story of James Forrest and his career at the club.
The lovable Hoops winger is currently in the midst of his tenth full season for the first-team but has been at the club since he was nine. Forrest has won 17 trophies whole at Celtic but it is only recently that he has really become a fans favourite.
And now those supporters will be given the chance to show their backing for the 28-year-old in the biography ‘Homegrown Hero’. But they may not show the same backing for their former manager who, it has been revealed by 90 Minute Cynic on Twitter, will be interviewed for the book.
The press release says the biography will include an interview with Rodgers plus the likes of Tom Rogic, Tony Watt and Kieran Tierney and James’ younger brother Alan – who plays for Ayr United.

The book is expected to be a perfect stocking filler with it going on sale in early December. The club will also make a donation to the Celtic Foundation on Forrest’s behalf as part of the deal.
Forrest is well deserving of book
It’s really great to see Forrest being honoured in this way. The Scottish international has been an absolutely magnificent player for us over the years and one of the finest to come out of the club’s academy in some time.
He has given fans numerous great moments in Europe and in Scotland but he is rarely acknowledged. Forrest keeps himself to himself and is rarely seen shouting about anything in the press. He’s also not on social media, unlike the majority of his teammates, which can’t be seen as a bad thing.
He really has turned into a fans favourite in recent years which is in stark contrast to where he was prior to Rodgers’ appointment. Hopefully now he can get the adulation he deserves. And maybe even a testimonial match.
