Celtic told Martin O’Neill has just exposed club employee who is ‘getting away with murder’

Celtic are going through a transitional period where they are looking to bring in a new boss to take over from Martin O’Neill.

The interim Celtic boss has come in and steadied the ship with an impressive run of results that has seen O’Neill beat the likes of Rangers, Feyenoord and Hibs.

O’Neill has been immense since taking over from Rodgers as he gets a tune out of the Celtic first-team his fellow Northern Irishman couldn’t.

But it appears that not only has O’Neill improved Celtic’s players massively from Rodgers’ time at the club, the temporary Hoops boss has also exposed another employee at the club who is not getting the best out of his role.

Paul Tisdale’s ‘shortcomings’ uncovered by interim Celtic boss O’Neill

Whilst the fall out over Celtic’s shambolic summer transfer window has lain squarely at the Parkhead board, Hugh Keevins said that Paul Tisdale’s role in that has been brutally exposed by O’Neill.

Keevins wrote in the Sunday Mail, “The stand-in manager highlighted the lack of quality available to him when the team he chose to start in Rotterdam on Thursday night contained none of the players brought to Celtic at a cost of millions of pounds in the summer transfer window.

“The window that failed to provide Rodgers with additional players before the unmitigated disaster that was the home-and-away humiliation at the hands of Kairat Almaty in the Champions League play-off round.

“O’Neill effectively marked Paul Tisdale’s homework in the Netherlands and found the club’s head of operations to be a dunce.

Tom Bogert tells Celtic how much it will cost to buy Columbus Crew’s ‘best player’.

“The rarely-spotted Tisdale has been getting away with murder.

“One questionable buy after another and a complete lack of accountability. Until O’Neill shone a light on his shortcomings.”

The refusal to play Michel-Ange Balikwisha and the fact that Sebastian Tounekti has been relegated to the Celtic bench whilst O’Neill picks up big wins is not a good look for Tisdale, especially as the January transfer window looms.

Where Celtic need to strengthen in the January transfer window

Every Celtic supporter knows that the club need to strengthen as the January transfer window approaches.

A first-team striker should be top of the list to help take the burden off Johnny Kenny and help Kelechi Iheanacho.

Cover for Celtic hero Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is out for the rest of the season, is essential as Liam Scales and Auston Trusty cannot be expected to start and play every game with just Dane Murray as the other backup.

Unless Wilfried Nancy can get a tune out of Michel-Ange Balikwisha, then a new right winger is also required.

With plenty to do in January, can Tisdale be trusted to get the recruitment right for the new Celtic manager?
