The Celtic fans need a lift after a pretty poor start to the new season.
The issue with Celtic is their style of play, far too many goalless draws, and now this inability to put the ball into the back of the net.
After seven Premiership matches, Brendan Rodgers’ side have only netted seven goals, three of them against newly-promoted Livingston, and one goal in the Europa League after Celtic failed to score past Kairat Almaty in the Champions League qualifiers.
Only very few players have taken the Celtic Park faithful off their feet, and whilst Sebastian Tounekti has rightfully been getting the plaudits, Craig Moore wanted to give Benjamin Nygren his flowers.

Benjamin Nygren’s start at Celtic
Whilst Celtic fans have vented their anger towards the club’s recruitment during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Moore thinks it was a positive one for the champions of Scotland, with the main and big issue being ‘the timing of it’, as he wanted to praise Nygren for being a ‘really good’ purchase.
Speaking on Go Radio, Moore thinks Nygren, who already has three goals to his name, will provide ‘goals from midfield’ for Celtic.
“Nygren, for me, very impressive player,” said Moore. “I think he is a really good signing. The amount of runs and entries into the box means he is going to get his fair share of goals. He already has.
“The front line, for me, is very dangerous. When you are playing against that kind of front line. There is some pace in there. There is some trickery with Tounekti.
“See on Celtic’s recruitment. I think Celtic’s recruitment this season has been good. But I think the timing of it has been the issue, and a lot of the supporters.
“We are going on about Tounekti again. He’s a very, very positive signing. Then you look at Nygren, he has, so far, been quite good. He is going to give you goals from midfield.”

It’s still early doors, but amid Celtic’s search for goals and players to step up to the plate in the attacking third, there is life and promise with their new signings.
