It looks as if the deal to bring David Turnbull from Celtic to Motherwell is off. The Daily Record reported that the player’s agents had rejected the contract, which was followed by the unprecedented move of Celtic Tweeting about the deal.

Unless something changes very quickly, it looks as though Celtic will be moving on to other targets, after it seemed like the player was set to join the Hoops.

A report in the Scotsman claims that the Premier League clubs are interested in Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor. Leicester, Brighton and Southampton are interested in the player, who the Hoops reportedly value at £10 million. However, the report also claimed that any departure for McGregor could be linked to the signing of Turnbull. As that seems to be off, the need for the Hoops to sell McGregor will be reduced.

Add Lyon to the sides interested in signing Hoops midfielder Olivier Ntcham. The Scottish Sun has reported that the French side have joined Porto and Marseille in the battle for the player. The one factor to consider in any deal to Lyon is that Ntcham would be reunited with his former Celtic team-mate Moussa Dembele. That could be a telling factor when it comes to Ntcham’s future.
