Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes Ibrox supporters have been left frustrated as they continue to watch Celtic make a statement of intent in the transfer market.
The Hoops have managed to recruit the likes of Alexandro Bernabei and Ben Siegrist whilst also tying down Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota permanently. Meanwhile, Rangers have yet to make a single signing.
Celtic have moved quickly in the window and have splashed out quickly to ensure Ange Postecoglou’s men are best equipped to defend their title.

And it appears as though there are a few twitchy supporters down Ibrox way as they continue to watch Celtic go from strength to strength.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Miller said: “Rangers fans would like to see bodies coming in rather than important ones going out. Hopefully, the money they get from Joe Aribo is reinvested into the team and they can strengthen. It’s important you strengthen that starting XI or sign players who will push others on to become better. Giovanni will want to keep this group together and add to it.
“I can sense the frustration with regards to the lack of action in the transfer market, particularly when you look across the city. This is the way its judged in Glasgow. The fact Celtic have gone out and spent a lot of money, almost £18 million on four players, there’s no doubt Rangers need to strengthen.”
Celtic not messing around as they gear up for the next stage
Celtic aren’t standing still. They’re moving at a rapid rate and evidently they’re on a mission to be as strong as possible before the new campaign kicks off.
We all know Rangers will make signings. It’s only early July and the window doesn’t close until the end of August. There is still plenty of time for moves to occur for both clubs. However, it shows just how impressive Celtic have been in the early stages of the window.
Our rival supporters would clearly love for it to be their side making the productive signings. Instead, they’re watching on as Celtic tool up for the new campaign and strengthen in key positions. It’ll undoubtedly be demoralising for them.

Not to mention it’ll be made even worse if they lose one of their top players before they even make a signing. Combine that with the speed in which Celtic are doing their work and there’s no denying they’ll be getting frustrated.
Not that Ange will be giving a single thought as to what’s going on at Ibrox. He has an idea in his mind regarding where he wants this Celtic team to be. Rangers don’t come into the equation for him.
But with a title to defend next season, it’s always pleasing to hear the first inklings of frustration coming out of Govan. The momentum continues to be with Celtic, and hopefully that shows when the campaign kicks off.
