It is no secret that Liverpool’s Andy Robertson is a Celtic fan. Indeed, he once more proved his Celtic fan credentials on Twitter on Thursday when he was asked his favourite football moment as a child.
“Watching Henrik Larsson scoring away to Boavista to put Celtic in to the UEFA cup final!!” he replied.

That prompted Celtic to respond to the Tweet, on the club’s official Twitter account. The Hoops posted a clip of Larsson’s winning goal from April 2003, with the comment “What a moment from the King!”

It is good to see that Robertson remembers that moment so fondly, as it took place when he was only nine years old.
An incredible moment for fans
However, it was an incredible moment for all Celtic fans.

For years the club had performed poorly in Europe, not even getting past Christmas in tournaments.
Now, the Hoops had reached their first European final in 23 years. Truly a moment that will never be forgotten by the Celtic support.
Champions League winner unlikely to play for Hoops
Robertson has of course already played in a European final, but sadly not in the colours of Celtic. It was in a Liverpool strip that he won the Champions League in 2019.

Still, it is good to see that he remains a Celtic fan even though the chances of him ever pulling on a green and white jersey seem remote unless it is a charity game or a testimonial.
Hopefully that can happen at some stage in the future.
