Celtic have only gone and done it again as their Celtic View magazine will this week be dedicated to Stevie Chalmers.
Last Thursday, Hoops fans who picked up the magazine will have noticed it was a full-length tribute to Billy McNeil. Cesar’s passing last week was a shock to everyone, but the club has been sensational with their tributes towards him.

A whole host of interviews, features, and anecdotes about McNeill’s career and personality were in the View. It was a fantastic read, and certainly worth the money for Hoops supporters.
And this week, the same has been done to commemorate Chalmers. Celtic announced this yesterday, and have touched on some of the subjects that will be covered.
Another great read is on the cards
Interviews with the likes of Bobbie Lenox, Jim Craig, Bertie Auld, and John Clark will all be in there. As well as that, the View pays tribute with a variety of different features on the great Hoops forward.

Chalmers, of course, scored the most important goal in Celtic’s history. It was he who bagged the winner against Inter Milan in a certain May day back in 1967. That, however, was just one of his 231 goals for the club. He remains the fourth-highest goalscorer the club has ever had.
Spells at Morton and Partick Thistle were had before he then went to work for Celtic Pools. It was a sign of his humbleness, and that will no doubt be expressed through his former team-mates in this week’s View.

It also gives the younger generation of Celtic supporters the chance to learn more about the great man. If last week’s tribute to Cesar was anything to go by, we’re all in for yet another treat this week.
It seems as though the entire magazine will be dedicated to Chalmers, just as it was for McNeill last week.
Supporters who are interested in picking one up should do so at their local supermarkets before Wednesday, when Celtic’s newest edition should be printed.
