Wilfried Nancy is already a thing of the past at Celtic.
But memories of his 33-day tenure are still very fresh in the memory.
After the Frenchman took over from Martin OβNeill, the teamβs form took an immediate nosedive, at the worst possible time.
Nancyβs tactical recklessness and media handling compounded horrendous results, leading to his sacking after just eight games.
Few Hoops fans will have anything positive to say about the ex-Columbus Crew coach, but Si Ferry does.
What is the biggest difference you have noticed in this Celtic side under Martin OβNeill?

After Nancyβs sacking, OβNeill immediately returned, and the Hoops havenβt lost a game since.
Itβs fair to say that the appointment was a massive mistake, given that it cost Paul Tisdale his job.

Ferry is not alone in being critical of recent performances under OβNeill, which have required the Hoops to score in the last-minute to salvage results.
On Open Goal, he even went as far as claiming: βThey were better in possession under Nancy, Celtic.
βIn possession, agree or disagree? [They were] terrible off the ball. Terrible off the ball. But on the ball? Better.β
Andy Halliday asked if Celtic shouldβve kept the Frenchman, and Ferry admitted: βNo, you couldnβt keep him, could you fβk.
βYou couldnβt keep him, but in possession, better. Definitely.β

βThat does really surprise me, given the level that Shaun [Maloney] has coached at.β
Ferry replied: βWhat level is that?β
Slane said: βBelgium.β
Ferry then asked: βDid they do well?
βIβm very surprised [that Celtic arenβt more dominant]. But it was like that the first time, as well, under Martin OβNeill, wasnβt it?
βIt wasnβt like they were dominating games of football. The St Mirren away gameβ¦β

Wilfried Nancyβs ill-fated Celtic spell
Nancyβs start to life at Celtic was daunting on paper β and in the end, the worst-case scenario was exactly what played out.
After OβNeillβs run of wins in his interim spell, Nancy lost 2-1 to Hearts, 3-0 to Roma and 3-1 to St Mirren in his first week.
This was bruising enough, and after a 1-0 defeat to Dundee United, fans were already calling for him to be sacked.
Wins over Aberdeen and Livingston weathered the storm and showed better signs on the pitch β but in a crucial week of games against Motherwell and Rangers, two more defeats sealed Nancyβs fate.
