Celtic winger Mohamed Elyounoussi has praised Hoops youngster Jeremie Frimpong in the wake of the team’s win over Aberdeen on Sunday, The Scottish Sun report.
Elyounoussi, who has experience of playing in the English Premier League as well as the UEFA Champions League, knows a bit about what it takes to be considered an elite-level star.
Frimpong’s Celtic impact has been dramatic and exciting, but he still has a lot of work to do to set himself up for a long and successful career.
Elyounoussi thinks he can make it if he continues in the manner he has been.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, the winger said of his teammate: “Jeremie has quick feet and is very brave for his age.
“He needs to keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard.
“He’s still in the early stages of his career and if he’s humble and works hard, he can have a great career.”

What’s next for Frimpong?
His immediate goal will be maintaining his place as a regular in Lennon’s first-team. It’s easy to forget the youngster has still only played three times and isn’t even registered for our Europa League squad.
The fact he won’t be included in Europe means that Lennon has to prioritise the fitness and form of Hatem Abd Elhamed and Moritz Bauer. That could have both its positives and negatives for the youngster.
On the one hand he may be fancied ahead of crucial fixtures to give that duo a rest and on the other, it might mean Lennon wants Elhamed installed as the go-to pick to maintain consistency in the defensive unit.
Regardless, Frimpong clearly has a bright future and it’ll be no surprise to see him be selected on many more occasions this season and beyond.
