Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele has been given some huge praise by French publication L’Equipe.
The youngster has been recognised as one of the brightest young talents in world football by the French outlet. That’s despite the fact Dembele has only played once for the Hoops.
L’Equipe are notoriously harsh with their player-ratings. Therefore, Dembele can take it as a real boost to have been mentioned by them as a potential hero for the future.

In the piece, L’Equipe state that Dembele has “extraordinary acceleration and elimination abilities.” They also state that he “seems destined for a great career” and that he’s “vivid and agile”. Other youngsters in the series include Barcelona’s Ansu Fati and Inter’s Sebastiano Esposito.
Dembele has been playing in the development team this season. Despite his inexperience, however, he’s still viewed as a potential superstar within the Hoops support.
No further chances as of yet for Karamoko
There was never going to be chance after chance for Dembele after his debut. He impressed against Hearts and there’s no denying that. The way he turned impressive young Hearts defender Aaron Hickey was sublime. Considering the praise the Jambos youngster is getting, it’s clear Dembele is going to be something incredible.

But it was never going to be followed by a weekly run in the team this season. He made the bench for the Scottish Cup final, but has went back down to Stephen McManus and Tommy McIntyre’s development squad.
You can question as to whether this press coverage is good for Celtic. Considering the Scottish Sun has been reporting that PSG are interested, we don’t want Dembele being advertised too much.
But in any case, you can flip it and say it reads well for the club. Dembele is a talent that deserves to be recognised, and Celtic will have the final say on whether they want to sell him or not in any case.

It seems incredible to imagine Dembele not getting further chances in the team this season, however. He’s far too talented not to be exposed to first-team football as soon as possible.
Hopefully, that is indeed the case this season. But for now, it appears the Dembele hype train is cranking up in Europe.
