Benjamin Nygren has reflected on what he experienced in Celtic’s win at Ibrox admitting that it will divide opinion.
The events of that day proved deeply controversial in Scotland and the UK, overshadowing the fact that Martin O’Neill had led a depleted side to an unlikely victory.
Nygren has emerged as one of the team’s contributors, with reports now suggesting that there is interest from down south in the Celtic man.

Speaking to FotbollSkanalen, Nygren said: “It was a bit chaotic but an experience, you could say. I’m glad we came away with a win.
“There is always a lot of emotion in that match. There is a lot of history between those clubs. What happened afterwards, you may have divided opinions about.

“I didn’t have time to think. We won, celebrated on the pitch, and suddenly a lot of fans came in and then from both sides. Then it was just a matter of getting into the locker room.
On the current situation in general, Nygren said: “It’s a bit mixed. Unfortunately, we lost a very important match [against Dundee United].
“Individually, I’ve done very well so I’m still coming here with a lot of confidence
– A lot has happened. We’ve had a few coaching changes and there are a lot of demands at a big club like Celtic. We haven’t lived up to those demands.
“We went into the play-offs in the Champions League and we’re not leading the league. It’s been a bit mixed. There has been a lot to experience.
“The fans I’ve met have been very good and positive. The ones I’ve met on the streets of Glasgow. But then I also understand the anger from the fans, when it’s such a big club.
“They’re used to you winning so many titles every year. When you maybe don’t meet the demands that are there, I understand that anger.”
