Celtic centre-back Christopher Jullien has provided a promising update as he updates the Hoops support in his battle to overcome a long-standing back injury.
The Frenchman hasn’t played for the Hoops since September, but he posted a progress update and video on his Twitter account to inform the Celtic support on how well his rehab is going. The good news is that he seems well on the road to recovery, but the bad news is that as yet there is no return date for the centre-back.
“First part of the rehab is done”
“First part of the rehab is done, thanks Aimery, we’ve put a hell of a work. It’s never easy to recover from this kind of injury, next step is getting back to 100%” Jullien said, as quoted by his personal Twitter account.
The return of Jullien would be great news for Celtic, as he really has been missed in the two months that he has been out. However, there is no way that Celtic will look to rush him back.
You have to be careful, especially when it comes to an injury like a back one. The Hoops can’t afford for the player to get a setback, and end up back to square one. Will Jullien return before Christmas? That remains to be seen.
However, the fact that the player claims that the first part of his recovery is over has to be a promising sign. Neil Lennon will be hoping to get the partnership of Jullien and Kris Ajer restored to the first-team as soon as possible, but that might have to wait for a while yet.
Fan was appreciative of work put in
Still, that didn’t stop some Celtic fans on social media reacting positively to Jullien’s Tweet. One fan claimed that watching Jullien’s training video was like watching Rocky 4! Another was appreciative of the hard work that the player is putting in.
