Celtic loanee Daniel Arzani has gave Celtic and Manchester City fans an update on his recent ACL injury.
Arzani informed his fans on social media that the operation on his right knee was a success. Arzani needed the operation after he tore his ACL on his Hoops debut against Dundee, which has ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola signed Arzani in the summer from Melbourne City, after the youngster’s impressive A league performances. An Australian international at 19, he moved to Celtic immediately after signing with the English champions.
However, the youngster struggled to make an impact in his first few months at Parkhead.

He finally made his debut, coming off the bench at Dens Park against Dundee. The loanee was shortly stretchered off with his knee injury just 18 minutes after coming on, and the Aussie winger has provided an update on his Instagram account:
Can Daniel Arzani recover ?
The youngster will be devastated by this injury blow. His Celtic career had just took off. Now it has been brought down to earth with this knee issue.
The disappointing thing for Celtic fans is that he showed promise in a brief 18 minute run-out. Arzani’s injury is a horrific blow for the youngster and Brendan Rodgers. Arzani finally looked ready for first team-action after waiting so long for his chance. Now he joins a host of Celtic players on the crocked list.
Not only will he miss domestic action this season, but he will also miss out on Australian national team action, after emerging as an exciting talent for the Socceroos at this summers’ World Cup.
Arzani will be a massive miss for his national side. He was a shoe-in to be included in Australia’s Asia cup side, but will now miss the tournament.

The Australian has the potential to be a star for Celtic. However, he now faces a long spell on the side-lines, which threatens to derail his progress. Arzani will hope for better luck when he returns in 2019.
