Celtic’s Jeremie Frimpong is considering a change in his playing style to ensure that he doesn’t suffer another injury, the Daily Record reports.
The Hoops right-back is only just returning from an injury picked up against Kilmarnock last month.
Now the starlet has disclosed that he is willing to change the way he plays the game to ensure that he doesn’t suffer any further absences.

“If you’re on the pitch, you can’t be soft. You have to change your style of play. If you have to go in hard, you have to go in hard, but in the right way” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“Pass the ball then run”
“Next time in that situation, I will just kick it around, just dodge it a little bit. I’ll just have to change my tactics. Instead of running directly, I’ll just pass the ball then run.”

It might be a bit of a gamble for a player to completely change their style of play. However, Frimpong is still at the very start of his Celtic career.
Right time to change style
If there is a time to change his style of play, then it is now. However, it is still likely that for the most part he will be the all-action player who has become a firm favourite of the Celtic support.
However, if Frimpong needs to tweak his game to ensure that he avoids injury then so be it. That can only benefit both the player, and the club in the long run, and you have to think that Neil Lennon would back such an idea.
