The Hoops ran out six goal winners with Johnston scoring two and assisting one.
He helped get the scoring started in the second half by getting his first in under a minute. Johnston showed good composure to flick it onto his stronger foot and slide his shot home.
The winger bagged himself another but it is his assist that’s getting everyone talking. A perfectly weighted pass through to Armstrong Okoflex allowed the Irishman to flick it over the keeper’s head.

Johnston had his ups and downs last season but he isn’t resting on his laurels. The Glasgow Bhoy wants to put everything behind him and kick on next season.

Johnston will be familiar with his competition and knows he will need to up his game consistently.

Despite two disappointing showings against Rangers at Ibrox, Johnston was fantastic last season.
He will learn as he plays against more experienced pros and let’s not forget his still young.
The Bhoys may have an attacking Kieran Tierney on their hands and will need to nurture him the same way.
