Celtic’s Nir Bitton has not played for the Hoops since being forced off injured during the second-half of the 2-0 win over Rangers at the start of September.

However, the good news for the Hoops is that he now seems to be once more fully fit. The player recently completed his first 90 minutes since the 4-1 win over AIK in August.

He played the entire game for Israel on Thursday night, in their 3-1 defeat to Austria in the Euro 2020 qualifiers. Whilst the result was disappointing for Bitton personally, it is good news for Celtic that he is fit once more after suffering a hamstring injury.

The player could well be in action for Israel again when they take on Latvia on Tuesday. After that, he returns to Celtic Park. It has to be said there is a good chance he could feature for the Hoops against Ross County.

Kristoffer Ajer has not been in the best form recently for the Hoops. Therefore, should Bitton come through Israel’s match against Latvia unscathed, he could play from the start against Ross County.

Manager will have no issues about starting player

He has played well at centre-back already this season. Neil Lennon would have no issues about starting him there against the Dingwall side.

With the busy schedule the Hoops have, it is vital that the Hoops squad is utilized to help the team get through the number of games they have. The return of Bitton is a good thing for the club.
