Celtic’s pre-season friendly with English Premier League side Wolves has been rearranged and tickets go on pre-sale today on Ticketmaster.

The original match that was organised in South Korea as part of the Asia Tour later this month but was cancelled due to Wolves pulling out of the fixture stating that the tour organisers failed to meet ‘financial and statistical obligations’.

But now it seems it has been organised for the 29th of July at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin with the tickets set to go on pre-sale today from 9am this morning. The tickets will then go on general sale to the rest of the public on Thursday morning. [Ticketmaster]

There is yet to be an official statement from either Celtic and Wolves but you would have to imagine that will be forthcoming at some point today to promote the sales.

Celtic do still have the upcoming Japan Tour to contend with and that kicks off on the 19th of July against Yokohama F Marinos and then against Gamba Osaka three days later in Suita.

Celtic are currently in Portugal as part of their pre-season training camp and face Portimonense tonight in the first of a doubleheader against the Primera Liga side. Kick-off is at 5pm with the second fixture to be played on Saturday at 11am.

Unfortunately, it seems as though the Celtic fans will not be able to keep tabs on either of the Portuguese friendlies as there doesn’t seem to be anything organised by the club to show on Celtic TV.

With pre-season preparations well underway, the Celtic fans will be looking forward to seeing how their team fare under new manager Brendan Rodgers and it will also be interesting to see if the style of play the Irishman brings to the team will differ much from what we witnessed under Ange Postecoglou.
