Some photos from Celtic’s last training session at Lennoxtown before the game against Milan showed something different about Hoops captain Scott Brown.
In the photos, which were posted on Celtic’s official Twitter account, the player was training with a cast on his hand.

As the photo of Brown shows, the injury shouldn’t stop him from taking part in the game against Milan. However, it could still be a bit of an inconvenience to the player during the game.
Hoops star likely to be in starting line-up
It would take a lot to stop Scott Brown from playing in such an important game though. He knows that a good result for Celtic against Milan could kickstart the season. It would also banish the memories of the recent derby defeat.
Therefore, he will be one of the first names on Neil Lennon’s team sheet for the Europa League fixture. Brown had a slow start to the season, but he has played well for Celtic in the last few weeks. He was one of the few players to come out of the derby against Rangers with some kind of credit.
Next two fixtures will be big for club
Now he is set to lead Celtic in two games which will play a big part in determining the mood around the club. The game against Milan, and Sunday’s trip to Pittodrie against Aberdeen.
It might be a tough night for Brown against Milan. After all, he is 35, and is coming off the back of a game against Rangers. However, that doesn’t mean he can’t have an impact on the game. If Celtic are to get a result, then the middle of the park could where the game is won and lost.
If Brown and Callum McGregor can help Celtic gain a foothold in the middle of the park, then the Hoops are capable of getting a result against Milan. That would be a huge boost for Celtic as the club bids to get over the loss to Rangers.
In other news, Neil Lennon can’t play Ryan Christie up-front against Milan.
