Celtic fans will be rubbing their hands together to know he is keeping his future options open.

He told Le Parisien about his future: “You never know, we will see after this season and I will be speaking with my representative, Badou.

“It’s a little hard to find my place, there are big players there like Neymar, Cavani and Mbappé.

“I haven’t spoke with the coach for six months. At the start of the season, things went well against Bayern Munich (International Champions Cup), while I also scored in the Trophee des Champions against Monaco. I felt good, but then I was suddenly no longer there.”

Weah revealed it was legendary full-back Maxwell who advised him to go out on loan to Celtic.

However, he also believes that his future with his parent club is beyond his control.

Celtic loanee raves about the club and stadium

Fans will be delighted to hear that the son of former Ballon d’Or winner George Weah loves Parkhead and the atmosphere.

He said: “There is something different at Celtic Park, it’s an old stadium and I hadn’t seen that.

“It’s easy for me here as the people are very kind and friendly, I’m having an incredible time here thanks to the football and I am very content to be here.”

Weah’s loan deal with the club finishes at the end of the season and we’ll see another deal will happen.

However, if this is his last season in hoops, then he will leave the club with fond memories.
