You could call it a shrewd move by Celtic after they confirmed their selection of training ground images to showcase to their supporters on Twitter today.

Indeed, the Hoops provided their customary training ground update the day before a massive European game. However, it does appear they’ve been reading the concerns of the supporters when you look at the images they selected.

Given the lack of depth at centre-back in particular, there’s a real urge to see both Bitton and Elhamed back playing regularly. They’ll add both strength and composure to a defence that is badly needing a morale-boost from somewhere.

Edouard’s return doesn’t really need an explanation as to why that would be provide us with a boost. Celtic know that, and that’s most likely why they chose the images they published today.
