The debate over Kieran Tierney’s future goes on, and one former rival of Celtic has an opinion that Hoops fans will strongly disagree with.
Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam thinks that the time is right for Tierney to move on from Celtic and move to England.
Adam made the comments whilst appearing on Radio Five Live, as cited by the BBC.

“Time for him to leave”
“I think it’s probably now time for him to leave Celtic” he said.
“It’s the next progression for his career. Seeing how well Andrew Robertson’s progressed at Liverpool, as a player you’ve got to be thinking, ‘I want some of that’.”

Celtic fans will not take kindly to Adam’s comments. They will feel that Tierney can progress at Celtic for the time being, then perhaps move to England in the future.
Celtic will only sell at the right price
At the moment, only Arsenal have bid for the player, and it has been turned down by the Hoops. Perhaps they will come in for the player again, but it will have to be for the right price.

Would Tierney improve as a player if he moved to England? Probably. He would arguably be playing with better players for a start.
However, that does not mean that he has to leave Celtic this summer. Celtic fans could accept it if Tierney helped the club win ’10 in a row’ then moved on. But it would not go down well with the fans if Tierney left this summer, no matter what the fee is.
