Charlie Mulgrew wants Marcelo Saracchi, Elijah Just and Tawanda Maswanhise in the door for pre-season at Celtic.

A significant rebuild awaits Martin O’Neill’s squad this summer, with a host of first-team contributors expected to leave.

Saracchi is reportedly yet to receive a permanent offer from Celtic, despite making a positive impact on loan last season.

Just has just made his impact at the World Cup for New Zealand, whilst Maswanhise is off the back of finishing as top scorer in the Scottish Premiership.

“He’s somebody that I would love to see sign for Celtic. I’m not sure what the price of that will be… two or three million…

“He was brilliant. He was beating players, he was dribbling by players. It was a desire and a determination and an aura that he gave off.

“I would argue that you could even play him as a left-winger at times, he can cover a couple of positions.

“So get these players in the building. Get this business done as quick as you can, that’s what I think. Get [them in] for preseason and let them settle in.”

Celtic yet to open talks to sign Marcelo Saracchi

According to the Daily Record, Saracchi is open to a permanent move to Glasgow, but has serious interest from MLS and Turkey.

He reportedly won’t hang around waiting for Celtic to do a deal.

Celtic reportedly scheduled talks with Saracchi and his representatives in late April, shortly after he returned from injury.

Saracchi finds himself out of favour at Boca, after falling behind Lautaro Blanco in the pecking order before being banished from the squad after the Club World Cup.

Racing Club are reportedly interested in Saracchi, but Boca would reportedly prefer to sell him to a team outside of Argentina.
