Celtic defender Chris Jullien is pining for the good times at the club as his recovery from serious injury continues in France.
Jullien was stretchered off after colliding with the woodwork in a December match against Dundee United.
He’s since undergone surgery and former boss Neil Lennon delivered bombshell news earlier this season that he could be out for the majority of 2021.
Never shy to update us on social media, the big defender has again taken to Instagram and Twitter tonight, posting an image from the Scottish Cup Final last year.
It was accompanied with the caption: “Unless you have bad times, you can’t appreciate the good times…”
What’s the latest on Chris Jullien Celtic injury recovery?
The most recent update on the centre-half came from John Kennedy a few weeks ago, who revealed he had been having phone chats with him.
Confirming he was in the ‘early stages’ of his rehabilitation, the interim boss nonetheless confirmed to The Daily Record he was in a positive frame of mind.
Kennedy said: “I’ve spoken to Chris a few times. I was on the phone to him just last week for a bit. I wanted to see how he’s progressing. He’s in France at the minute, getting more intense rehab work.
“Being based there, he has more time with someone he’s used to working with and in a place he’s familiar with. He’s still in the early stages of his recovery, the toughest part because you’re restricted in what you can do.
“You want to get moving quicker but with the injury he’s got, what is important is just a steady progression. But he has a good mindset. He can deal with the challenge of being injured and he’s focused on how he can improve and get better again. He’s in a good place mentally. So that’s important – it allows him to get his work in on the right path to recovery.”

For me, Jullien has been a massive miss for Celtic.
Truthfully, he was never quite at his peak form in the first half of the season even before his long-term injury, but had also been battling back issues.
When on top form he’s one of our most reliable players and is already a leader in the dressing room.
The sooner we get him back the better.
No doubt his positive outlook and support from fans will help on his way back to playing football again.
