Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has named a player he believes the Hoops should sign in the summer. That player – Hearts forward Uche Ikpeazu.
Ikpeazu was very impressive in Hearts’ recent 2-1 defeat to Celtic and Sutton believes he would give the Hoops something different up-front.

“An absolute nightmare”
“It wouldn’t be a bad idea for Celtic to make a move for Uche Ikpeazu as well as the big striker must be an absolute nightmare to play against,” he told the Daily Express.

“He’d bring a different option, that’s for sure.”
Ikpeazu has scored four goals in 15 appearances for Craig Levein’s side this season. However, the number of goals he has scored doesn’t tell the whole story about his game.

Good work outwith scoring
He does as much good work outside the penalty box and on the wings, as he does having attempts on goal. He missed a chunk of the season because of a foot injury, and Hearts really missed him in that time.
Any potential move for Ikpeazu would depend on the strikers still at Celtic Park next season. It seems likely both Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths will be at the club. Every other option is up in the air. Of course, we still don’t know who will be Celtic’s permanent manager next season. That will impact on any transfers coming in.
Ikpeazu would certainly add a different option to Celtic as Sutton underlines. But there are a number of obstacles to be overcome before any move for the player can be made.
