Chris Sutton brilliantly trolling already after Celtic Scottish Cup draw

Chris Sutton is already at the wind-up after Celtic were drawn away to Rangers or Cove Rangers in the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic will play the winners of tonight’s tie at Ibrox away from home, with the expectation that we’ll be facing Steven Gerrard’s side.

Sutton reckons it could be Scottish League One side Cove Rangers though, taking to Twitter to share his thoughts on the draw: “Possible Cove Rangers v Celtic.”

Whoever Celtic are playing, the match will be played on the weekend of 17th April.

Realistically it should be a blockbuster derby. The winners of any Celtic v Rangers tie will be red hot favourites to go on and lift the trophy at Hampden in May.

Celtic haven’t beaten the Ibrox side since 2019 but our last two performances were definite improvements compared to last year.

Although they have streaked ahead in the Scottish Premiership, there shouldn’t be any fear on our part of picking up a big cup win.

If it is Rangers we face, I see it as a 50/50 occasion, though they’ll no doubt be the pundits and bookmakers favourites.

Nothing will overshadow our collapse this season, but this is the last chance for this group of players to prove themselves before this summer’s rebuild.

We are defending champions after all.

We fear nobody and don’t forget it!

In other news, Kenny Dalglish is excited about what’s on offer to any new Celtic manager.
