Chris Sutton says Ange Postecoglou had it ‘tougher’ at Celtic following his unbeaten start at Tottenham Hotspur.
On Saturday, Tottenham beat nine-man Liverpool in a controversial Premier League clash, with Spurs moving into second place in the Premier League table.
Whilst it’s still early days, it’s a far better start to the one Ange Postecoglou had when he first headed into the Celtic dugout, with Sutton stating that it’s ‘easy’ for him in England, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
Of course, it’s not about how you start, but where you end up, which Celtic and Rangers fans know too well.
Steven Gerrard had just guided Rangers to the title, there were issues on and off the field for Celtic, yet, at the end of his first campaign, there was only one team lifting the title.
Whilst the spotlight on Ange Postecoglou is far bigger now because he is in the Premier League, the pressure he was under at Celtic will never be matched, regardless of what Spurs do.

“But what about Tottenham? Big Ange ball,” said Sutton. “Do you know, he had it tougher in Scotland.
“He comes down to the Premier League and he is tearing it up, big Ange, isn’t he?! It’s easy! It’s easy down South.”
Celtic fans won’t be surprised
A number of Premier League fans, even Tottenham supporters, are pleasantly surprised by what Postecoglou is delivering.
From his man-management skills, the manner in which he addresses the media, the positive nature he has brought to a previously morale-sapped Spurs and the style of play.
He has been a breath of fresh air for a man who will long be remembered as a legend at Celtic.
