Chris Sutton has made what can only be described as unexpected Glasgow derby prediction. The Celtic legend thinks that Rangers could win the game.
“I would give Rangers the edge” he said, whilst appearing on BT Sport.
“Celtic have problems”

“Based on Celtic’s issues that they have with the back line. I think Celtic have problems. As things stand, I would fancy Rangers to edge it.”
In a way, you can see where Sutton is coming from. Celtic have looked poor at times in defence this season. This was shown particularly in the 4-3 loss to Cluj in the Champions League qualifier.
However, on the other hand, Celtic have been prolific going forward this season. They have scored in every competitive fixture they have played.
In only three league games, the Hoops have scored 15 goals. That is an average of five goals a game. It is unlikely that the Hoops will score five goals at Ibrox.
Scored plenty of goals

However, the fact that Celtic have managed to score in every game this season should give Neil Lennon and the Celtic team confidence ahead of the game.
The likes of Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest, Ryan Christie and Mikey Johnston should all be confident that they can cause the Rangers defence plenty of problems.
If the Hoops defence can keep things tight, then Sutton’s fears about the fixture will not be realised. If Celtic can play to the very best of their abilities, the Hoops could pull off a memorable victory.
