Dundee have voted yes to last week’s SPFL board proposals that have caused so much drama over the last few days, The Daily Record report.
The SPFL chiefs recommended that the Championship, League One and League Two be brought to an end due to the ongoing public health crisis, with the Premiership to follow if action cannot be resumed.
Final league positions would be decided on an average points basis, with Celtic in line to be declared champions.
Dundee found themselves in the position of holding the deciding vote on the matter after the vast majority of clubs also chose to pass the resolution last Friday.
Now it appears the Dens Park outfit have decided to put their weight behind the consensus and begin to bring a halt to the 2019/20 campaign.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton, who has been an avid proponent of the resolution, thinks that the drama is far from over though, anticipating a mountain of statements very soon on the matter.
Clubs such as Rangers, Hearts and Partick Thistle have all been left annoyed by the saga, releasing a number of statements over the last few days designed to put pressure on the SPFL for their handling of the situation.
It seems inevitable that this band of clubs will make their voices heard over the coming hours and days ahead.
The Ibrox side have appeared particularly appalled at the idea of Celtic becoming champions, much to our amusement.

What shouldn’t be forgotten though is that Neil Lennon’s Bhoys have earned every bit of this success, having forged a 13 point gap at the top of the table.
Remarkably consistent form led to this title, not voting. Don’t let that be forgotten in the soap opera that is now bound to follow.
