It’s only half-time and Celtic are doing brilliantly at Feyenoord in their latest match in the Europa League.

Martin O’Neill knows that Celtic could not afford to lose in Rotterdam to keep their hopes of qualifying from the Europa League this season.

The Celtic starting XI to face Feyenoord certainly caused a stir online as fans questioned the inclusion of Luke McCowan and Hyunjun Yang.

However, it was neither of these players who are going to cop it from O’Neill as Chris Sutton shares the Celtic star who is going to get a roasting at half-time for Feyenoord’s opening goal in De Kuip despite the excellent first-half comeback.

Kieran Tierney will feel Martin O’Neill’s Celtic anger vs Feyenoord

Celtic started the match fairly well but after Ueda opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Sutton said Kieran Tierney will have to take the flak from his gaffer at half-time.

Sutton said on X, “Tierney will feel the wrath of Martin O’Neill at half-time… Can’t gamble playing offside there…”

The Celtic defender was caught on the hop as he tried to force the offside but Tierney clearly played the Feyenoord forward onside.

However, Celtic superbly rallied and head in at half-time 2-1 after a superb first-half fightback gives O’Neill an excellent lead to defend.

It’s only half-time, but Celtic heading into the break 2-1 up in Rotterdam has caused their placing in the Europa League to change slightly.

O’Neill must find some way to find keep the lead, because as it stands, Celtic are currently in 18th place and well in the play-off places.

With another 45 minutes to go, and Celtic playing well, there is plenty of time for Tierney to atone for his first-half error and ensure a huge win in Rotterdam.
