This season sees Celtic leading the Scottish Premiership ahead of Aberdeen and Rangers as both clubs look to challenge for the title.

Sitting level with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, Aberdeen face Rangers at Pittodrie tomorrow night as they look to keep the pressure on the Hoops and continue their unbeaten start to their season.

Celtic also have a fixture they need to take care of as Dundee comes to visit Celtic Park where Rodgers will be looking to continue his own unbeaten domestic start with another three points against Tony Docherty’s side.

Wednesday night does promise to be a big night on the Scottish calendar which made one person ask Chris Sutton what outcome Celtic ‘would prefer’ from the Pittodrie showdown.

Ian Ladyman read out a question from a Celtic fan who wanted to know from Sutton what result would the Parkhead club would like to see happen from the Aberdeen vs Rangers game.

Sutton told It’s All Kicking Off [27m, 35s], “Oh, it’s big. Are we talking about supporters or Brendan Rodgers?

“Brendan Rodgers would probably prefer a draw.

“The supporters would probably… so what result would Celtic prefer? They’d probably prefer Aberdeen eight, Rangers nil.”

Aberdeens chances of beating Rangers to keep up Celtic

Aberdeen have faced Rangers 102 times and have won just 17 in total.

However, in the last five fixtures against Rangers, Aberdeen have lost just twice, drew two and beaten the Ibrox club on two occasions as well.

Out of 15 points, The Dons have denied Rangers ten of them and there is a very real chance they could pile on more misery on Philippe Clement at Pittodrie tomorrow.

Jimmy Thelin’s side is looking a real threat and with Rangers struggling to find some decent form, Aberdeen have every chance of winning if they put on a performance like they did in the second half at Celtic Park.

Every Celtic fan will most likely be looking for a Dons victory tomorrow night but as for Rodgers, the Celtic boss will be focused solely on beating Dundee and nothing else.
