Chris Sutton has shared who he thinks has the edge in the title race after Celtic and Rangers both lost at the weekend.
With Brendan Rodgers’ side going down 2-0 at Tynecastle and the Ibrox club falling to a 2-1 home defeat to Motherwell, the title race still remains wide open as neither club took advantage of major slipups this weekend.
So who has the upper hand? Rangers as they are still two points clear or Celtic as the Ibrox club may have had their confidence dented with the Ibrox defeat?
Chris Sutton was asked this very question and whilst he remained impartial, the former Celtic hero didn’t give too much away.
Sutton said [The Monday Night Club], “Who had the worst weekend out of Celtic or Rangers? (Laughing) Rangers losing against Motherwell was a complete shock.
“Nobody saw that coming. The run they have been on and Clement with the chops so you can imagine Rangers fans on Saturday night absolutely sick.
“And Celtic, it’s not a surprise Celtic stuffing it up. It absolutely isn’t. I think both sets of fans over the weekend would have felt sick because Rangers fans are thinking, ‘Blimey, we should have been five points ahead of Celtic.’
“And Celtic fans would have been thinking, ‘Well, the gap is still the same. So I think that’s the mindset of both sides.

“But it’s going to go to the wire.”
The Celtic fan in me says I still believe we will win the league. I also believe that we will win the two remaining Glasgow Derbies as when push comes to shove, Rangers have never won a meaningful game against us in over two seasons.
Brendan Rodgers has already had the upper hand over the Ibrox side twice this season and has proven during this spell and his last that when it comes to games against Rangers, the Celtic boss has the better of the Govan club and more.
