Celtic fans sang ‘Beautiful Sunday’ as they watched their heroes hammer Hearts on top of Rangers dropping points at Ibrox and Aberdeen losing at St Mirren.
It really is indeed a beautiful Sunday as Brendan Rodgers’ side now has clear daylight at the top of the Scottish Premiership table as Celtic sit three points clear of Aberdeen and a huge 11 points ahead of Rangers.
Celtic never really got out of second gear at Tynecastle in a first half that was bereft of goalmouth action as the Bhoys struggled to find their groove.
However, a halftime chat from Brendan Rodgers inspired Celtic’s hammering of Hearts as goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, Nicolas Kuhn and a double from substitute Adam Idah ensured the three points headed back to Paradise.
And it was those three Hoops players that inspired a cheeky tweet from Chris Sutton as the former Celtic striker put Rangers in his crosshairs after the Tynecastle win.

Sutton is famous for his cheeky little digs across the city whenever the Ibrox club fails to close the gap on Celtic.
And at full-time inside Tynecastle, the Hoops hero praised three Celtic players as he took aim at their Glasgow rivals.
Sutton said, “Phenomenal second half from Celtic. Kyogo’s movement excellent and Nicolas Kuhn looks absolutely quality. What a finish 👏👏
“Two goals will do the world of good for Adam Idah. 3 points clear of the real challengers Aberdeen… good point for Rangers in 3rd👏👏.”
The Scottish Premiership table is now starting to take shape as the challenge (if there really ever was one) from Rangers evaporates and Aberdeen inevitably begin to drop points.
And it wasn’t just Sutton who was delighted with all three results.

The Celtic social media team were also busy taking a shot at their rivals as they helped the fans celebrate a ‘magnificent day’ in the league title race.
A superb play on Henrik Larsson’s nickname and Celtic’s Christmas advert was a brilliant way to sum up Brendan Rodgers’ team stretching their lead at the top of the table.
With Aberdeen up on the 4th of December, the Celtic fans could be handed a proper Christmas present a full two weeks before Santa is due to visit Parkhead again.
