Chris Sutton has been vocal about one thing across the summer transfer window.
Fans have come to know that the ex-Celtic striker and current Sky Sports pundit isn’t the most patient when it comes to new signings.
Sutton has warned Celtic repeatedly to have a strong enough squad before the Champions League play-off clash rolls around this month.
But at the moment, the Hoops still need to get a number of deals done, especially in the wide attacking areas.

Sutton’s verdict after Rodgers Celtic press conference
Brendan Rodgers discussed Celtic’s transfer activity and the need to strengthen at his Friday press conference.
And Sutton praised the Hoops manager’s performance when dealing with the media, saying he was “very strong” on transfers.
But Sutton isn’t overly enamoured that the new competitive season kicks off on Sunday against St Mirren with Celtic still weak in key areas of the pitch.
Sutton posted on X: “Brendan Rodgers very strong today on the lack of activity so far from Celtic in the transfer market.
“Still time of course but easing into the season isn’t ideal. Only need to look at last season and the importance of a ferocious start…”
Rodgers will ‘continue to convince’ Celtic board over transfers
Rodgers was asked by the press if he sees business being conducted late in the window again, much like last season with the big money arrivals of Adam Idah and Arne Engels.
He answered by promising to continue to convince the Celtic board that his squad really needs new investment to continue to grow and build.
The Celtic manager said: “Yeah, I don’t know. I think it’s… I don’t conclude the deals. The deals are…there are always time lags on them for different reasons.
“But I think that, come the end of that period, of course, we would want to… we would love to get players in earlier. There’s no doubt I would have liked to have players in now, but it’s not the case.
“So I’m not going to kill my own joy and overthink stuff. I focus on what’s here. We know the work that we need to do, and it’s my responsibility to convince the club that we really need them.
“I’m not doing that job as well as maybe what I can, but I will continue to pursue that because it’s something that’s important for us.”
