Celtic gave their fans more to celebrate on Flag Day after they sent Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock back to Ayrshire with a 4-0 beating that did not flatter the champions.
In all honesty, the scoreline could and should have been much more after Celtic had chances cleared off the line, a Kyogo goal chopped off for offside and the woodwork saved McInnes from further embarrassment as Brendan Rodgers’ team delivered an opening day thumping.
The whole Celtic team put in a great performance but for Chris Sutton, the former Hoops striker picked out three players he thought looked ‘wonderful’ in the Flag Day win over Killie.
Chris Sutton reinforces Celtic transfer message after win vs Kilmarnock
Sutton was on commentary duty for Sky Sports as he watched Celtic’s win at Parkhead and as he lauded three players for their performance, he sent a transfer message to his old club.
As Sutton said, Celtic certainly looked the part and if Brendan Rodgers can add the quality he is looking for, it’s hard to see how his team can be stopped from winning their fourth title in a row.

With the Adam Idah situation still unresolved, adding the Norwich City striker would certainly add a different dimension the the Celtic attack that did look very dangerous this afternoon.
With three new faces added over the summer, Rodgers knows there are other positions in the team that require an extra body to help provide cover and competition for his Celtic squad.
There is still plenty of time for the Celtic boss to add new faces to his team and with Paulo Bernardo now a permanent Bhoy, you get the feeling that with another two or three extra bodies added to what he has at the moment, Rodgers’ team will be difficult to stop this season.
