Christopher Jullien counting down the days until Celtic return

Christopher Jullien is counting down the days until Celtic return to action in the Premiership – judging by a tweet from him on Tuesday evening.

Neil Lennon’s men return to league duty after a two week break when they host Livingston on Saturday. Gary Holt’s side travel to Glasgow for the 3pm kick-off with Jullien and co. knowing they will move three points clear with victory.

The 26-year-old, who is perhaps the first-team’s most active Twitter poster, hasn’t been away on international duty during the break and you get the impression he can’t wait for the return of the club game.

Jullien has become a main man for Celtic

The Frenchman has a score to settle against Livi after a weak display in our defeat last month. Jullien apologised to fans for being nervous after that match. However, he has really stepped up his game in the intervening period – with a number of top displays in a terrific run of form.

And the Celtic faithful are fully behind the big 6ft 5in central-defender judging by the replies to his Tuesday tweet.

Livingston clash is ideal for Celtic

You really hope that the rest of the Celtic first-team are just as excited about the return of club football as Jullien is. We were really building up some positive momentum in the final games before the break and you hope that none of that will be halted.

The game against Livingston is a challenging one but a match that we should really relish. They, and Cluj, are the only two sides to have defeated us so far this season. The team was extremely motivated when we faced the Romanians again recently so hopefully the same goes for Saturday.

Livi made us look a bit foolish last month. It’s about time we put them back in their place and got fired up for a frantic six weeks of action.
