The Celtic support have already made a big impression on Christopher Jullien, if the Frenchman’s recent comments are anything to go by.
The big 6ft 5in summer arrival was imperious on Sunday as the Hoops banished some wretched recent Ibrox memories with their first win there in 18 months.
Jullien was a key part of Neil Lennon’s solid defence and even picked up the broadcaster’s ‘Man of the Match’ award following the victory. But, ironically, it’s the post-match celebrations that have caught his imagination more than anything else.

“We know it is a big win but the season is long,” he told the Daily Record. Watching the celebrations with the fans on video gives me goosebumps.
“But in my head each day I can improve and the team can too. We are good, but we can be better.”
Jullien will be a big favourite with the Celtic support
Most Celtic fans won’t have tired of watching the post-match activities either so it’s clear to see that Jullien is already one of us.
The £7million signing is also developing into a very accomplished centre-half. So much was made of his start (or lack of it) in the early weeks as Lennon came in for a bashing following the Cluj debacle.

But since then Jullien has played every minute of football for his new employers, and grown in confidence in each game. Celtic have shipped just three goals in those 480 minutes of football, with two of them coming from opposition penalties.
The Frenchman has already chipped in with his first goal too, something that should continue throughout the season given his aerial presence. His defensive work will be what he is judged on first and foremost though, and recent signs look very encouraging.

The Celtic defence that finished the game at Ibrox on Sunday all arrived at the club this summer. Given that fact, it’s surely fair to assume that they’re only going to get better.
With Greg Taylor, Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic still to come into the fold, and Fraser Forster only going to get better, things look really promising for Celtic in a defensive sense.
