Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has taken to social media today to celebrate last night’s win and pay tribute to midfielder Callum McGregor.
The Frenchman help Neil Lennon’s side keep a clean sheet against Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic were also rampant in an attacking sense, winning the match 4-0 in front of a jubilant away support.
McGregor was undoubtedly one of the stand-out performers, creating an assist for Leigh Griffiths after a surging run, playing a part in the build-up to Odsonne Edouard’s first goal and scoring a thumping volley himself from 18 yards.
The Scotland international was in outrageous form and it appears Jullien has felt the need to recognise it.
Posting a picture of the duo on Twitter, he said alongside various emojis: “3pts secured and we stay. What a player.”

McGregor’s goal last night was his ninth of the season and his fourth in eight matches. In that period he’s also managed to create five assists, bringing that tally to eight in total for the season (Transfermarkt).
It shows he’s again reaching peak form in a Celtic jersey.
Many plaudits went to Edouard for his incredible performance at Fir Park but for me, the midfielder was the stand-out player on the pitch and it’s nice to see him get recognition from Jullien.
The break to Dubai certainly looks to have worked a treat for McGregor as much as anyone else in the squad and he’s primed to make a huge impact over the next three months.
Effectively undroppable in Lennon’s starting eleven, expect many more magical moments from the 26-year-old soon.
