Celtic defender Christopher Jullien is naturally a big fan of his fellow Frenchman and Hoops teammate Odsonne Edouard.
Jullien believes that the striker can go on to make the senior French squad after scoring a raft of goals for the under-21 side.
“The best young French striker”

“Odsonne is now the best young striker of the French national scene, so why not?” Jullien said, as quoted by the Herald.
“He could, so why not aspire to be a Celtic player in the French national team. That would be great.”
It would certainly be significant if a Celtic player managed to break into the squad of the team that is currently World Cup champions. On the downside, should that happen than more teams will declare an interest in signing the striker.
Has been prolific at under-21 level

Edouard’s form for the French under-21 side could have caught the eye of a number of clubs, so prolific has he been. In only six apperances he has managed to score 11 goals. That is a very impressive number, and you have to wonder if French national team manager Didier Deschamps has taken note of that form.
France are not in action again until March, when they take on Ukraine and Finland in a couple of international friendlies.
Those games seem like the ideal matches for Edouard to make his senior French debut. Even a cameo appearance as a substitute in one of the fixtures could be a major boost to the player’s confidence, which can only help Celtic.
For Edouard to make the breakthrough into the senior French squad, he will need to keep performing as well as he has done for the Hoops for the next few months of the season.
Should he score double figures in goals in that time, then Jullien may be proved correct, and more importantly, Celtic will be back on the winning track, and hopefully on the road to nine in a row.
